Getting a new puppy is an exciting event and a joyful time. It’s also a lot of work! We can help you get through this process with a minimum of pain.
We all know how important puppy socialization is, but we don’t always know exactly what that means. Raising Canine will help you understand exactly what proper socialization is and can help you put together a socialization program that works for you.
In addition to socialization, we’ll help your puppy learn important house manners like:
- Housetraining
- Chew training
- Walking politely on leash
- Greeting people politely instead of jumping
- Puppy biting
- Waiting at the door
- Coming when called
- “Drop it!”
- And whatever else your situation calls for
Puppyhood lasts until the puppy loses his baby teeth, which is around 18-20 weeks old. Our puppy recommendations vary depending on how old your puppy is when you start the program. The younger the puppy, the more time we have to get certain critical issues addressed. Some issues must be addressed during puppyhood, so if your puppy is older when you start, we’ll focus on those issues.
